Cubex Land takes part in COVID-19 charity relay race that raises £22,000 to provide 550 therapy sessions to NHS workers

News: May 2021

The impact of COVID-19 on NHS workers has been profound. NHS workers face an enormous amount of pressure at work every day and this has had a direct impact on their mental health. From a recent survey, nearly half of medics working in intensive care are currently experiencing symptoms of PTSD, severe depression or anxiety.

On 23rd – 25th April, the Cubex team joined over 180 other property professionals from 5 different countries to take part in the Fiera Real Estate Covid-19 Relay Race to raise money for Duty To Care. The charity, set up at the start of the pandemic in 2020, provides virtual therapy sessions to NHS workers in need of support, to enable them to improve and sustain their mental health and wellbeing.

Cubex entered a team of 10 in the walking, running and cycling challenge to cover the most distance and raise the most money. The Cubex team came second, travelling 438km over the weekend and raised a fantastic £1,555 for the charity. The team averaged a very impressive 44km per person across one session, a distance greater than the marathon.
